Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Many of you, I am sure, have already decided on your lesson plans for this week, to honor this great man. Perhaps you already started last week, which is wonderful. As some extra added thoughts, I wanted to share another site I run, a Facebook Page, called: Science Sites 4 Education: https://www.facebook.com/ScienceSites4Ed/?ref=bookmarks. This week, on that site, I feature science connections to resources that celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Science Sites 4 Education: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Post

For book recommendations, I would recommend the following:

  • Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Doreen Rappaport, illustrator: Bryan Collier
  • I Have a Dream by Martin Luther King, Jr.. Illustrated by Kadir Nelson
  • My Uncle Martin’s Big Heart by Angela Farris Watkins. Illustrated by Eric Velásquez
